Is that really what Y'shua (Jesus) looks like? Well, perhaps - but he's much more beautiful to behold. I really want to get you to think about something that perhaps you've never thought of before.
I know some people have a hard time grasping the CONCEPT of a triune God, let alone the reality of him. But whether or not you yet realize that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one, consider this:
When most people think of our Heavenly Father, our Father God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, - they tend to picture an old man with a long white beard! The word "father" in no way suggests that God is an old man! Sure he is the Ancient of Days, the Everlasting Father, and he is from everlasting to everlasting. Sure he is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. Sure he is without beginning and without end. But who ever came up with the idea that he looked like an old man on his last leg of life?
I know many fathers who are in their 20s and 30s and 40s. Some are even in their TEENS! So the next time you consider "the Man upstairs," why not see him as he is - a loving, heavenly father to all who put their trust in him - from unborn babes to dying old men. He not only promised us eternal life when we believe on the LORD Jesus Christ (Y'shua hamashiach), but we will also inherit eternal youthful maturity. I believe when our bodies are resurrected, we will all be 33 years APPARENTLY. This was how "old" Y'shua was when he died on the cross and was raised from the dead 3 days later!
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Luke 2:52
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? John 14:9
I also believe in my heart and mind that Adam and Eve were created in full maturity of perfection - that their "age" apparent was 33 years old! I don't imagine them as being 10 year old kids in the garden - neither do I imagine them being 45 years old and showing the telltale signs of age. Do you?
In summary you could say that God is ancient, but he's no old man!
