My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them,* and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22
DOES YOUR BIBLE NEED A CHECKUP?
Below are several scriptures and scripture portions found in the Authorized King James Version. YOU will decide if your bible needs a checkup. On a sheet of paper, make a checklist that looks something like this:
1. ____ ____ ____
2. ____ ____ ____
3. ____ ____ ____
You will need 13 numbered rows for this, labeling each of the three columns A, B, and C.
> In column A, place a check mark (√) by the scriptures/scripture portions that you know or are familiar with.
> In column B, check (√) each scripture/scripture portion you believe is definitely “…given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, [and] for instruction in righteousness (II Timothy 3:16) In other words, you believe it is God’s Word.
> In column C, check (√) every scripture/scripture portion you can find in YOUR bible version. *Can you find them? >>>>>NOTE: Numbers 1 – 9 are the sayings of Jesus.

Did you find them?
If you didn't find one of these in your bible, you probably didn't find any of them, or you saw them inserted as footnotes in fine print, with some question as to whether it is actually what God said. This is the same tactic the serpent used in the Garden of Eden; he planted a seed of doubt about the truth of God's Word in Eve's mind when he asked her, "Yeah hath God said....?" Because she had not heard God's command firsthand, she then began to doubt. And that's when the serpent went in for the kill. He had softened his target. It would take little effort on his part now to convince her that what God had said just wasn't true. This same method of operation on the part of Satan is used today, in the form of "new and improved bible versions!"
Though this test gives only 13 examples of the omissions found in new bible versions, there are many, many more. I chose these particular omissions because these were those omitted from EVERY NEW VERSION I COULD FIND. If you would like to know more about the gross changes found in the new versions, please refer to other posts in this category.
Don't fall for the fakes. Stick with the pure Word of God.
