A Reuters video shows that Huang Chuncai (黄春才), a 31-year-old villager from Chenzhou of central China's Hunan Province, suffers from the world's most extreme recorded case of neurofibroma. The 15-kilogram tumour growing on his face which deformed his backbone and stunted his growth has left him in continual pain and forced him to withdraw from the society.
Now consider these scriptures and realize that God's Word is
the TRUTH
not an exaggeration
rich in depth of meaning as is discovered by careful word-for-word reading
(Note: Emphases added for more clarity)
As many were ASTONIED at thee; his visage was SO MARRED - MORE than ANY man, and his form MORE than the sons of men:
Isaiah 52:14
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath NO FORM nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is NO BEAUTY that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isaiah 53:2-3
SO WAS Y'SHUA UGLY? Some have wrongfully interpreted this scripture to mean that he was a less-than-good-looking man. Was Y'shua beaten beyond recognition, as countless preachers have claimed? Nay, rather Y'shua (Jesus) suffered MUCH MORE than beating, scourging and crucifixion. Think about that. Is it any wonder that the women and 12 disciples did not recognize him after he arose? The way he looked on the cross was their last photographic memory of him. Consider again this portion from verse 3:
and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
The word "we" in this verse is a collective term, meaning all who'd have seen Y'shua at that time of having the wrath of God pour out upon him for our sakes. But why would we hide our faces from him? The rest of the verse tells us why: he was DESPISED, and WE ESTEEMED HIM NOT. Have you ever seen a sight that was so horribly awful that you had to turn away because you couldn't stand to look at it? Perhaps you covered your face with your arm or both hands, and turned away and closed your eyes and uttered sounds of pure disgust and shock - even horror.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:4
You may know that Y'shua bare in his own body our sins; everyone's sins.1 Peter 2:24
He also took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:17
But he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
Y'shua (Jesus) was marred more than ANY man, even more than Huang Chuncai.
Let us pray for Huang, that by the mighty power of YHWH and the sacrifice of his son Y'shua, Huang will be made whole. In the name of Y'shua haMashiach I pray, Amen. Thank you, LORD.
